Tennis Tip Breaking Serve

In doubles breaking serve can be the key to winning a set or the match. To break succesfully a team has to do a few things well.
Return well and accurately. At last years US Open the Bryan brothers had an 86% return ratio, wow! Both players need to move into aggressive positions after a succesful return. The net is a preferred location for most of us. Baseliners should move up to or inside the baseline. This will provide better angle, give the opponent less time, and get them closer to their target. The returners partner needs to be ready to cut off any weak reply. Play percentages on the return and do not take chances unless way up or down in the score. Percentages work! Finally keep the pressure on the weaker player even if he or she is at the net. Bring your strenth at their weakness!
For most of us returning serve is the hardest thing to manage consistently and you should work with a Harp Performance Tennis Professional to improve this shot!
Remember break, hold, win!

Tennis Kidz

Under 8 Team Tennis

For our small juniors there is a smaller court, foam balls, and a competitive team format. Our little ones can now learn to play on a court designed for their size and ability, with tennis balls that allow them success the first time they pick up the racquet.

Junior Programs

Harp Performance Tennis offers classes for every age and ability level. From our beginners to our very own nationally ranked tournament players there is a class for everyone. All classes emphasize age and level appropriate drill sessions and learning techniques. Classes offer complex motor skills, stroke technique, shot selection, mental toughness, advanced playing tactics and so much more.

Due to the heat of summer and that most kids are home from school during the day, we are moving our regularly scheduled classes from afternoons to mornings. This is the schedule for the months of June and July. Some of our weeks will overlap with summer camps. Feel free to choose a camp or to continue to follow your regularly scheduled class times.
