Tennis:
- Playing since 1975
- NJCAA All American, All State and All Region
- Played collegiate tennis at Perimeter College, nationally recognized 5 time National Junior College Champions. He was a quarterfinalist in singles at the same tournament. Jim was former All Region and All State going undefeated in and out of conference in singles and doubles. Jim was ranked as the number one player in the State of Georgia 30 and over division, and as high as number 7 in the Southern Section.
Professional:
- Coaching since 1989
- PTR Professional 1A, USA High Performance Coach, Sports Science Level 1 Certified.
- Former Director at Racquet Club of the South and Olde Towne Athletic Club in Marietta, Jim has coached and traveled with numerous national and sectional ranked juniors. While at Racquet Club of the South Jim worked with many world ranked professionals.
- Jim is the former Director of the Atlanta Tennis Classic, a round robin tournament featuring Mikael Pernfors, Mats Wilander, Jim Courier and Thomas Muster.
- Jim also served as the Instruction Editor for Netcord.com. Jim was nominated for Georgia Tennis Professional of the year in 2000.
